The varied Clayboards from Ampersand have given Mantor new surfaces for experimentation. Using ink for painting, Mantor concocts layers of iridescent inks bubbling up through transparent coloured inks to produce a series of shimmering landscapes and "Milagros" for personal healing. Black-coated Clayboard is used by Justine to produce textured surfaces as she utilizes her etching needle to create rhythmic, linear effects when she etches the white under-layer forward in her compositions which are part of a series of monumental "Monsoon Sunsets" and a wide variety of miniature etched paintings of desert plants and landscapes.
